We collect information directly from you when you submit the BuildHound interest form or contact us. If you do not provide the required form details, we may be unable to register your interest or send you relevant service information.

Email and SMS communications

If you register your interest, you agree to receive relevant BuildHound information by email or SMS. You may opt out at any time by following an unsubscribe instruction in a message or contacting us at info@buildhound.com.au. We may still send essential administrative messages where permitted.

Storage and security

Registration information is stored using Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the Sydney region. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. No internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

When information may be disclosed

We may disclose personal information:

• to service providers that host, secure or support BuildHound;
• where you have consented;
• where required or authorised by law; or
• to protect the rights, safety or security of BuildHound or others.

Service providers may only use the information for the services they provide to us and subject to their applicable privacy and security terms.

Overseas processing

Our primary registration database is hosted in Australia. Some providers supporting website delivery, email or technical operations may process limited information using infrastructure outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect the information.

How long we keep information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to maintain appropriate business records, or to meet legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
